The 33rd edition of ARTE FIERA ART FIRST was a great success
Over 50 thousand visitors – exceeding the 2008 edition - 212 prestigious national and international galleries, more than 2000 artists, over 60 events, 23 conferences, 48
locations inside and outside the Fair to celebrate art in Bologna.
The 2009 edition of ARTE FIERA, the year’s first contemporary art event, was eagerly awaited by collectors and enthusiasts, who received advance information on the market and benefited from the new layout announced by the organizers.

ARTE FIERA 2009 confirmed two important points:
• the art world is healthy, and the market is now favouring high-quality works and the
system’s professionalism. This will ensure a progressively stable market, with rules
based on value and quality;
• the exhibition’s new layout in Halls 15, 18, and 20 enhanced spaces even more, with
greater coverage and connections that offered visitors a continuous itinerary with
opportunities for elegant pauses, such as at the Uliassi Gallery and the
Champagnerie Laurent-Perrier.

Looking to 2010, Arte Fiera is already working on new projects to confirm that Italy’s foremost contemporary art fair understands its exhibitors and acknowledges its responsibility as reference point for the market.

The next ARTE FIERA will be held from 22 to 25 January 2010, but for art lovers the party is far from over: Bologna Art First continues until 22 February for everyone who wants to visit fascinating installations in the city’s historical centre.
