NEFTEGAZ 2014 in Moscow enjoys positive results

Satisfied exhibitors confirm the specialist trade fair as the most important business platform for the Russian oil and gas industry.

The Russian market for the oil and gas industry stands for good business with far-reaching significance for the international supply industry. In spite of the current difficult political conditions, NEFTEGAZ 2014 affirms its position as the leading trade fair for the industry. It attracts energy companies and producers of equipment and technologies related to the oil and gas sectors. Consequently, the main focal points of the exhibition come from the fields of exploration technology, oil/gas production, offshore technology, drilling technology, pipelines and equipment, transport, energy production, refining etc.

Between 26th and 29th May, around 800 companies from 34 nations presented numerous product innovations and information to specialists from the oil and gas industries at NEFTEGAZ 2014. 470 exhibitors came from the Russian host nation, 330 from abroad; the exhibition area in the EXPOCENTRE trade fair centre in the Krasnaja Presnja district of Moscow covered almost 25,000 square metres (net). Among the Russian exhibitors, industry leader Gazprom was also represented by its three subsidiaries, Gazprom Automatizatsia (automation), Gazprom Burenie (drilling technology) and Gazprom Neft-Snabzhenie (supply); they were joined by energy producer Rosatom and the state holding company, Rostechnologii. Among the international companies China had the largest contingent with 108 exhibitors, followed by Germany with 83, the USA and Finland. The joint German stand in hall 2.1 representing 63 companies was very well received by the visitors. In spite of the current bleak political relationship, "Made in Germany" continues to be attractive in Russia. Among the largest exhibitors in the Federal Republic's contingent were ARCA Regler GmbH, SAMSON AG, Wilhelm Kächele GmbH, JUMO GmbH & Co. KG and MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH.
